Sachin Tendulkar congratulated Alcaraz for his historic win. He said, “From now on, only one will rule tennis, and that is Alcaraz. Winning a Wimbledon final in straight sets against a world-class opponent is no joke. That type of speed, power, space and energy is what it feels like.” He added, “This will benefit Carlos Alcaraz in the years to come. Hats off to Djokovic for the way he has conducted himself in both his wins and losses. That, for me, is the mark of a true sportsman.”

It was not easy for Serbian star Djokovic to defeat the young Spanish player. Alcarez has played four Grand Slam finals so far and interestingly, he is undefeated in them so far. The 21-year-old tennis star is the youngest player to win Grand Slam trophies on all three types of courts: grass, clay and hard courts. He won his first title, the US Open, in 2022. He then won the Wimbledon final in 2024. In the same year, Alcarez won his third Grand Slam title, the French Open. On Sunday, he won the Wimbledon title. He captured this title for the second time.
