Bikaner, July 18 (HS). A career talk and exhibition was organized for the students of the college on Thursday in the college campus under the joint aegis of the University Employment Information and Guidance Center and Basic PG College. During this, the youth were told about the employment opportunities in the field of journalism. The program began with lighting of lamps in front of the statue of Goddess Saraswati.
Speaking as the keynote speaker, Assistant Director of the Department of Information and Public Relations, Harishankar Acharya, made the students aware of the importance of the fourth pillar of democracy and the history of journalism. He told about the employment opportunities for students in the field of journalism and the courses prevalent in this field. He also gave information about public relations, print and electronic media, social media, event management, radio jockey, content writer etc. Career counselor of the University Employment Information and Guidance Center, Nagendra Narayan Kiradu, made the students aware of the programs and schemes run by the state government for the youth. He told that regular programs are being organized to make the youth aware about career building. Patron of Basic PG College, Ramji Vyas said that the students should set a goal and concentrate on achieving it. He gave information about the innovations being done by the college for the all-round development of the students. During this, a career exhibition was organized by the Employment Center and pamphlets related to the schemes were distributed. The program was conducted by Dr. Ramesh Purohit.
