New Delhi, May 22 (HS). National Book Trust (NBT) is also providing career guidance to children in the summer camp organized at its headquarters in Vasant Kunj. In this summer camp which started from Wednesday and continued for 15 days, renowned career counselor Dr. Shruti Jain answered the career oriented questions asked by the children. More than 100 children participated in this career counseling session organized for children aged 9 to 14 years. He learned from Dr. Shruti Jain how he can make a career in his favorite field and how he needs to prepare for it.
Keeping in view the demand of the present time, Dr. Shruti Jain also told the children in detail about career oriented courses like Actuary, Environmental Science, User Interface (UX), Banking, Software Engineering, Epidemiology, E-Commerce etc. This free summer camp of NBT, India will run till 3rd June, in which sessions will be organized by dividing the children into two sections. In the first class, children aged 5 to 8 years are learning many creative activities through games from famous artists, writers and storytellers from across the country. The second group is of children aged 9 to 14 years, for whom interactive activities are being organized. Apart from career counselling, they can learn a lot of new things from experts in workshops related to art and craft, creative writing, theatre, calligraphy, topic wise discussions, story-telling methods, understanding of science, astronomy, mapology game, Vedic mathematics etc. There is also an opportunity so that apart from academic knowledge, they can also develop vocational skills. On June 3, the last day of this summer camp, the children will also talk to the writers selected under the Prime Minister Youth Mentorship Programme.
To participate in the summer camp of NBT, India, children can still register offline by visiting the headquarters of National Book Trust, India at Vasant Kunj. They will get the opportunity only if space is available.
