Haridwar, 15 February (HS). A car carrying passengers coming to Haridwar fell into Ganganahar. The passerby present at the spot saved the lives of the people in the car by risking his life. Water police personnel are trying to take out the vehicle from the canal. The car was coming to Haridwar from Sonipat in Haryana.
39-year-old Yashveer, resident of Sonipat Bhatt village, was going towards Haridwar in a car with his wife Roshni and 2-year-old son. As soon as his car reached near the bridge over the canal in Mangalore, while trying to save a bike rider, it went out of control and fell into the Ganga canal. Seeing the car falling into the canal, a passerby jumped into the Ganga canal and broke the glass of the car and took the couple and the child out of the car with the help of other passersby. After the information, the police reached the spot and sent the car riders to the hospital. The police is trying to remove the car from the canal with the help of water police.
