Chittorgarh, 2 November (HS). An Innova car hit a moped on Saturday morning in Gangrar police station area of the district. An elderly couple died in this accident. The couple are residents of Bhilwara and were going to visit Shri Sanwaliyaji temple. On receiving information about the accident, there was screaming among the family members who reached the district hospital. The police conducted post-mortem of the dead body and handed it over to the family members.
ASI Devi Singh of Gangrar police station said that Kripal Singh (63), son of Niranjan Singh Chaudhary, resident of Arihant Vihar Hall Jat colony, had left on Saturday to visit the temple. Along with him, his wife Rajandevi (60) was also with him on the moped. An Innova car hit his moped at Medikheda culvert in Gangrar police station area on Bhilwara-Udaipur six lane. Due to this the moped was damaged and both were seriously injured. Passersby took him to the district hospital for treatment. Here the doctors declared the elderly couple dead. On receiving information about the accident, Gangrar police station reached the spot and took information about the incident. Informed family members about the accident. On this the family reached the district hospital. There was screaming among the family members at the mortuary of the district hospital. The police conducted post-mortem of the dead body of the elderly couple and handed it over to their family members. A case of accident was registered and the vehicle was seized. ASI Devi Singh told that the Innova car was full of passengers. Passersby say that after the accident the driver and passengers fled from the spot. Police is busy searching for the driver of the Innova car on the basis of its number.
