Ghaziabad Assembly by-election Observers (General) Azimul Haq and Suresh Kataria (Expenditure) held a meeting with the candidates and their representatives. In the meeting, both the observers were appealed to follow the model code of conduct exactly. He also said that the Model Code of Conduct should not be violated in any way during elections. He made available in the meeting a list of Model Code of Conduct and all other campaign information.
During the meeting held in the Collectorate Auditorium, all the candidates and their representatives were also verbally informed by the observers and election officials that the criminal details of the candidates to be selected by the political parties will be publicized in accordance with the instructions given at the given time. It is mandatory to do this. All candidates will open their new bank account and will spend all election related expenses from the same account. During the elections, we will maintain election expenditure accounts with full responsibility and will also present all the bills related to expenditure with us on the days of expenditure inspection. Will not violate the Model Code of Conduct in any way and if found to be so, legal action will be taken against him. For publicity, it is mandatory to obtain permission from the concerned officer or RO. He said that he himself or his representative will compulsorily attend the expenditure inspection meeting to be held on 02, 06 and 10 November and will ensure to give details of his expenditure.
