Astrological significance: In Hinduism, gods are invoked by lighting lamps. For this reason, there is a rule of lighting lamps in worship, havan, auspicious work, celebration etc. However, there are many rules related to lighting lamps in the scriptures, which are considered necessary to be followed so that the worship can be completed. So that there is no flaw in it and the gods and goddesses are not angry. In this article, we know from astrologer Radhakant Vats whether two wicks can be lit in one lamp and what are the arguments related to it.

Should two lamps be lit in one lamp?
Astrology says that there is fire in a lamp. If the fire comes out from one direction then it is considered auspicious, but if it comes out from many directions then it is considered inauspicious. In such a situation, two wicks should not be lit in one lamp.

If the lamp is two-faced, then lighting two wicks in one lamp is considered auspicious because there is space for two wicks in the lamp itself, but if there is space for only one wick in the lamp, then two wicks should not be lit.

Apart from this, there is also an argument in astrology that if two lamps are lit in one lamp during worship, then the worship gets interrupted and the person does not get any benefit from it.

If two lamps are to be lit during the puja, it is important to take a two-sided lamp. It is believed that lighting two wicks in a single lamp increases hatred in the family and creates a rift between family members.

Actually the flame of a lamp is considered a symbol of family peace and unity. In such a situation, if two flames are lit in one lamp, it leads to disputes in the family and can also bring the influence of planets.
