Can an election card be made after the implementation of the Code of Conduct or not? Know what are the rules?

Lakhs of voters are ready for the Lok Sabha elections. This time there are many youth who will vote for the first time. Voter ID card is required for voting, hence people have many questions regarding it.

People are confused about how many days in advance they can apply for the election card, some people are also confused about how many days in advance they have to apply. You can make Voter ID card 10 days before the election nomination process.

The nomination process for Lok Sabha elections is till 6th May, so you can apply for voter card till 26th April.

Here it is also important to know how much time the entire process of making the election card can take. According to the Election Commission's helpline number 1950, the application is accepted within 27 days, after which the voter card is made within 10 days.

To make election card, you can apply both offline and online. To apply online you have to visit www.nvsp.in. For this you will have to provide two types of documents, first is date of birth certificate and second is permanent address certificate.

As proof of birth, you can give PAN card, 10th class certificate, driving license, passport etc. Aadhaar, electricity bill, farmer ledger, post office passbook etc. can be given as address proof.
