Cricket Retirement Rules: Spinner Ravichandran Ashwin has retired from international cricket. At present, Ashwin played his last match in the third Test played against Australia. In that match, India needed 2 runs to win on the last ball, Ashwin was on strike and the ball was in the hands of Pakistani bowler Mohammad Nawaz. The ball thrown by Nawaz went outside the leg stump. Due to which the ball was considered wide. And on the very next ball, Ashwin gave victory to India.
In this match, if the wide ball had turned and hit Ashwin’s pad, the Indian team would have had to face defeat. Regarding that match, Ashwin said, ‘If India had lost this match, I would have retired from cricket. If Nawaz’s ball had spun and hit my pad, I would have come to the dressing room, opened my Twitter and tweeted, thank you very much, my cricket career was wonderful.
Can Ashwin take back his retirement?
