Call for immediate recruitment of SPOs to tackle terrorism and unemployment

Jammu, July 5 (HS). In a significant move aimed at curbing terrorism and tackling the unemployment problem, JKSSM President and senior BJP leader Choudhary Shaukat has urged the Home Ministry and Jammu and Kashmir administration to give priority to the recruitment of Special Police Officers (SPOs). He stressed the urgent need for these measures to counter the recent rise in terrorist attacks and provide employment opportunities to the youth in the region.

Choudhary Shaukat highlighted the importance of focusing on the most vulnerable districts including Doda, Kishtwar, Reasi, Kathua, Samba and Ramban. He informed that specific areas within these districts such as Bhalesa, Kastigarh, Gurmal and Dhandal in Kishtwar Tehsil should be given top priority in the recruitment process. Recruitment of new SPOs is important for the safety of innocent citizens. By engaging unemployed youth, we can not only provide them a means of livelihood but also strengthen our fight against terrorism. The Home Ministry should take immediate action to address these serious concerns. He informed that his proposal aims to strengthen the security apparatus, as well as tackle the high unemployment rate among the youth of the region.
