CAA has come into effect in the country from today, Central Government issued notification

New Delhi: The notification of the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) rules has been released today on Monday. The Union Home Ministry has issued a notification regarding the rules of CAA at 6 pm on Monday. Issuing the notification of Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) rules before the announcement of Lok Sabha elections is a big decision of the Central Government.

When will the CAA notification come?

Let us tell you that the dates of Lok Sabha elections may be announced in the next few days. In such a situation, the Central Government issuing notification for the Citizenship Amendment Act in the country is a master stroke. After the issuance of the notification, the Citizenship Amendment Act i.e. CAA has come into force in the country.

When was the CAA law passed?

The CAA was passed in December 2019 and later received the President's assent but there were protests against it in many parts of the country. This law has not yet come into force as the rules for its implementation have not yet been notified.

Who will get Indian citizenship according to CAA?

After the implementation of CAA rules, the central government will give Indian citizenship only to the people who came to India from Bangladesh, Pakistan and Afghanistan till 31 December 2014.

Which religions are included in CAA?

The CAA covers six non-Muslim communities, Hindus, Sikhs, Christians, Jains, Buddhists and Parsis. They can get Indian citizenship only if they have taken refuge in India on or before 31 December 2014.

Amit Shah said a big thing regarding CAA

Recently, Union Home Minister Amit Shah had said that no one can stop the implementation of CAA, because it is the law of the country. Along with this, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee accused the Center of misleading people in this regard.

CM Mamta has called CAA a propaganda of BJP.

On the possibility of the Center issuing a notification on CAA rules today, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee said, “Let me see the rules first.” Notification has not been issued yet. If people are deprived of their rights under the rules, we will fight against it. This is BJP's election campaign and nothing else.
