By-elections: BJP and its allies ahead on seven out of nine assembly seats in Uttar Pradesh.

Lucknow, 23 November (HS). Counting of votes is underway for the by-elections held on nine assembly seats in Uttar Pradesh. According to initial trends, BJP and its allies are leading in seven out of nine seats.

If we look at the trend so far in Kundarki seat, one Hindu candidate is outweighing the 11 Muslim candidates. Bharatiya Janata Party’s Ramveer Singh is leading by more than 91 thousand votes till the time of writing the news. After the death of senior leader Shafiqur Rahman Burke, his son Ziaur Rahman Burke had vacated this seat by winning the Lok Sabha elections. BJP candidate is leading, Samajwadi Party’s Mohammad Rizwan, who is contesting against him, is on very less with around 10 thousand votes, while Azad Samaj Party’s (Kanshi Ram) Chand Babu is on 3,221 votes. In the 2022 UP Assembly elections, Ziaur Rahman of Samajwadi Party won this seat by 1 lakh 25 thousand votes. This time SP seems far away from victory. After the 17th round of counting in Kundarki by-election, BJP candidate Ramveer Singh has left SP behind by a huge margin. BJP has reached ahead by 91 thousand votes. In the last elections, BJP had fielded Kamal Kumar against SP. Kamal Kumar had given a tough fight to Ziaur Rahman, he had got 82 thousand 467 votes, while Mohammad Rizwan was from Bahujan Samaj Party. Rizwan this time he has fielded on SP ticket.

Karhal

The 22nd round of counting of votes has been completed in Karhal seat of Mainpuri. SP candidate Tej Pratap Yadav is now ahead by 18,668 votes. He has received 76 thousand 71 votes so far. BJP candidate has got 57503 votes. Now BSP candidates seem to be out of the fight. Till now he has got only 5447 votes.

In the 20th phase of by-election in Khair assembly seat of Aligarh, BJP is leading and SP is trailing. BJP’s Surendra Diler has received 68730 votes. SP’s Charu Kane has got 39801 votes. BSP’s Dr. Pahal Singh has received 9546 votes. Nitin Kumar Chautel of Azad Samaj Party (Kanshiram) has got 5398 votes.

Counting of 19 rounds of votes has been completed in Majhwan Assembly seat. BJP candidate is leading by 2997 votes. BJP’s Shuchismita Maurya got 48049 votes, SP’s Dr. Jyoti Bind got 45072 votes and BSP’s Dipu Tiwari got 19614 votes.

Mirapur

According to the 13th phase of counting in Meerapur seat of Muzaffarnagar, RLD’s Mithlesh Pal has got 3525 votes. SP candidate Sumbul Rana got 1934 votes. BSP’s Shah Nazar got 61 votes and AAP’s Zahid Hussain got 894 votes. RLD candidate is leading by 18,847 votes so far.

Ghaziabad

BJP – Sanjeev Sharma – 63848

SP – Singh Raj Jatav – 21283

BSP – PN Garg – 8217

BJP candidate Sanjeev Sharma is leading by 42565 votes.

Sisamau

20 rounds of counting have been completed in Sisamau assembly seat of Kanpur, in which SP is ahead by 8629 votes. SP candidate Naseem Solanki has got 69666 votes, while BJP candidate Suresh Awasthi has got 61037 votes. BSP candidate Birendra Shukla has secured 1409 votes. Celebratory atmosphere in SP, workers shouted slogans and burst fireworks.
