By-election program implemented in Uttar Pradesh, voters will get information from the portal

Lucknow, March 16 (HS). Election Commission of India released the schedule for General Election-2024 of 80 Lok Sabha constituencies in Uttar Pradesh in seven phases. Along with this, the by-election program has also been released.

Giving information about the by-election, the Election Commission of India has said that the by-election of 136-Dadraul Assembly Constituency will be held in the fourth phase of Lok Sabha General Election 2024, 173-By-election of Lucknow East Assembly Constituency will be held in the fifth phase of Lok Sabha General Election 2024, The date-wise schedule of the sixth phase of Lok Sabha General Elections 2024 for the by-election of 292-Gaisadi Assembly Constituency and the seventh phase of Lok Sabha General Elections 2024 for the by-election of 403-Duddhi (ST) Assembly Constituency has been implemented.

The Election Commission of India has divided the 80 Lok Sabha seats of Uttar Pradesh into seven phases. In the first phase, Saharanpur, Kairana, Muzaffarnagar, Bijnor, Nagina, Moradabad, Rampur, Pilibhit. Amroha, Meerut, Baghpat, Ghaziabad, Gautam Buddha Nagar, Bulandshahr, Aligarh, Mathura in the second phase. In the third phase, Sambhal, Hathras, Agra, Fatehpur Sikri, Firozabad, Mainpuri, Etah, Badaun, Amla, Bareilly. Shahjahanpur, Lakhimpur Kheri, Dhaurahara, Sitapur, Hardoi, Misrikh, Unnao, Farrukhabad, Etawah, Kannauj, Kanpur, Akbarpur, Bahraich in the fourth phase. Mohanlalganj, Lucknow, Rae Bareli, Amethi, Jalaun, Jhansi, Hamirpur, Banda, Fatehpur, Kaushambi, Barabanki, Faizabad, Kaiserganj, Gonda in the fifth phase. In the sixth phase, Sultanpur, Pratapgarh, Phulpur, Allahabad, Ambedkarnagar, Shravasti, Domariaganj, Basti, Sant Kabirnagar, Lalganj, Azamgarh, Jaunpur, Machlishahr, Bhadohi. In the seventh phase, voting will be held on Maharajganj, Gorakhpur, Kushinagar, Deoria, Bansgaon, Ghosi, Salempur, Ballia, Ghazipur, Chandauli, Varanasi, Mirzapur and Robertsganj Lok Sabha seats.

For the general elections of Lok Sabha constituencies 2024, the first phase of nomination will be on March 20 and voting on April 19, the second phase of nomination on March 28 and voting on April 26, the third phase of nomination on April 12 and voting on May 7, the fourth phase of nomination on April 18 and voting. 13 May, fifth phase nomination on 26 April and voting on 20 May, sixth phase nomination on 29 April and voting on 25 May and seventh phase nomination on 07 May and voting on 1 June.

At present there are a total of 15.34 crore voters in Uttar Pradesh. In which there are 8.17 crore men, 7.17 crore women, 6638 third gender and 12,51,827 disabled voters. At present, the total number of polling station locations in the state is 92,587 and the number of polling stations is 1,62,041 (1,62,012 main and 29 auxiliary polling stations). 'Suvidha App' is available for permission of meetings and processions etc. organized by candidates and political parties. Along with this, online enrollment can also be done through Suvidha App.

Voters whose names are not in the voter list can register by visiting voter.eci.gov.in portal for the process of voter name addition. Apart from this, the process of getting the name amended can also be done by filling the online form through the Voter Helpline App. The process of name addition can be done till the last date of nomination. Through the voter.eci.gov.in portal, the voter can also get information about his polling place and serial number by entering the EPIC number.
