Mirzapur, 22 October (Hindustan Reporter). A crowd of devotees gathered to watch the Ramlila staged by Srivindhya Ancient Ramlila Committee at the Leela site located on Moti Jheel Marg. While it rained flowers during the Sita Swayamvar on the third day, as soon as Tadka was killed, people started cheering for Shri Ram.
Tadka and Subahu Vadha along with Ahilya Uddhar were staged on the grand stage from Monday evening till late night. During the leela, the pandal was resonating with the chants of Shri Ram from time to time.
Shri Ram and Lakshman along with Guru Vishwamitra reached Dhanush Yagya, where Sita Swayamvar is to be held. King Janak seats Rishi Muni Guru Vishwamitra and Ram and Lakshman on the most beautiful stage. The prisoners announce King Janak's promise in the gathering that Sita will be married to the one who breaks Lord Shiva's bow. No king of the world including Ravana and Banasur could even move the bow from its place. Seeing this, King Janak gets distraught and says that if I had known that the earth was empty of heroes, I would never have made such a promise. Janak, after hearing this, Lakshman gets angry and says that if brother orders then what is a bow, I will lift the entire universe like a ball. Seeing the distress of King Janak, Guru Vishwamitra orders Ram to remove the distress of King Janak by breaking the bow of Lord Shiva. As soon as Ram strings the bow on the orders of his Guru, the bow breaks. As soon as the bow breaks, chants of Jai Shri Ram start chanting throughout the pandal. After that Sita puts the garland around Shri Ram's neck and flowers start raining. With this the third day's leela ends.
Chief guest city MLA Ratnakar Mishra performed the worship and aarti of Lord Shri Ram. He said that we all should emulate the character of Maryada Purushottam Shri Ram.
The stage was conducted by program coordinator Adarsh Upadhyay. During this, Patron Prakashchandra, President Sangam Lal Tripathi, Minister Kamal Mishra, Director Raj Giri, media in-charge Santosh Kumar, Aman Singh, Prince Mishra and other dignitaries were present.
