Ludhiana: The body of a businessman running a clothes shop in the local Chauda Bazaar was found hanging under suspicious circumstances late Tuesday evening. The deceased has been identified as Naresh Kumar, who lived in 33 Foot Road area near Jamalpur. After receiving information about the said incident, Jamalpur police station took possession of the dead body and sent it to the civil hospital for post-mortem and started investigation.
The businessman's death under suspicious circumstances came to light late on Tuesday evening when his family members saw Naresh's body hanging from a noose. With the help of neighbours, he was brought to the local hospital where doctors declared Naresh brought dead. According to Naresh's brother Vikram Vicky, about four years ago he had separated Naresh by giving him a share in the property and these days Naresh was living with his wife and children in 33 Feet Road area.
Vikram Kumar alleged that his brother was being mentally harassed by his wife, children and family members for a long time and Naresh had many times shared the family troubles with his siblings. He has also filed a complaint at Jamalpur police station for a complete investigation of the incident. According to Jamalpur police station incharge Jaspal Singh, the body of the deceased has been taken into custody and investigation into the case has been started.
