A bus overturning has come to light in Gondia, Maharashtra. While the bus driver was trying to save the bike rider, the bus overturned. In which 9 people traveling in the bus have died while many people have been injured.
The injured were shifted for treatment
An accident occurred when a state transport bus went out of control and overturned near Tola village of Bindrao in Gondia district. Gondia Police said that around 30 people were injured and the injured have been admitted to Gondia District Hospital.
Announcement of assistance of Rs 10 lakh to the victims
Chief Minister Eknath Shinde has announced immediate assistance of Rs 10 lakh to the victims of the accident. The reason behind the incident is said to be that while trying to save the bike, the bus went out of control. While trying to save the bike near Khajri village on Gondia-Kohmara State Highway, the bus went out of control and overturned. The incident took place on Friday between 12 and 12:30 pm.

It is noteworthy that at the time of the accident, there were more than 35 passengers in the bus, out of which 9 have died. The death toll may still increase. According to eyewitnesses, the bus driver fled from the spot after the accident. On information from passersby, ambulance and police officers reached the spot. The help of a crane was taken to straighten the overturned bus. At present the police is busy investigating the case. The absconding driver will be arrested soon.
