Sonbhadra, 20 September (HS). A bus carrying 65 devotees from Chhattisgarh to Gaya via Prayagraj lost control and overturned in the Markundi valley of Sonbhadra district. 25 devotees were injured in the accident. In which a woman's leg was cut and another person's finger was cut.
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has taken cognizance of the road accident in the district. He has instructed the officials to immediately reach the spot and expedite the relief work. Along with this, he has also wished for the speedy recovery of the injured.
In this regard, Police Circle Officer Nagar Dr. Charu Dwivedi told on Friday that 65 devotees from Kawardha village of Kabirdham district of Chhattisgarh had left for Gaya via Prayagraj in a double decker bus. The bus stopped at Vaishno temple Dala of the district, where all the staff and passengers of the bus had food. After that all the passengers boarded the bus and left for Prayagraj. As soon as the bus reached Markundi valley at 4:30 in the evening, it suddenly went out of control and overturned. There was panic among the passengers when the bus overturned. On receiving the information of the incident, Robertsganj Kotwal and Additional SP reached the spot with the police force. The police took all the injured to the district hospital in an ambulance.
Police Circle Officer Nagar said that in this accident, a woman passenger's leg and another passenger's finger got cut. The rest of the passengers are out of danger.
