Bus full of pilgrims collides with trolley in Punjab, two women killed; More than 15 people injured

Ludhiana: On Wednesday morning, a tourist bus filled with devotees collided with a trolley parked on the highway in Chahlan village near Samrala in the district. In this horrific road accident, 2 women died, while 15 people were injured.

After receiving information about the incident, the police reached the spot and took the injured out of the bus. After this, they were immediately admitted to the hospital. The deceased have been identified as Meenakshi (51) and Saroj Bala (54), residents of Indore, Madhya Pradesh.

Devotees came out to visit Kedarnath Dham

Rishabh, a resident of Indore, told that he is a resident of Indore. All the people traveling in the bus are from farmer families. All the tourists had gone by tourist bus to visit religious places. He left for Amritsar from Haridwar on Tuesday night to visit Kedarnath Dham.

When they reached Ludhiana around 5.30 am on Wednesday, the bus collided with a damaged trolley parked on the highway near village Chahlan. After this the people present in the bus started shouting. Immediately after the accident, people from nearby villages reached the spot. They took out the blood soaked devotees. After this he was taken to the government hospital in Samrala with the help of ambulance and other vehicles. There the doctors declared Meenakshi and Saroj Bala dead.
