Bus accident in Kerala: An accident occurred with a KSRTC bus in Mundakkayam in Idukki district of Kerala. A bus loaded with passengers fell into a valley, killing four passengers and injuring many others. There were 34 passengers and three employees in the bus that met with the accident. All the passengers were residents of Mavelikkara area. The KSRTC bus was returning to Mavelikara after a visit to Thanjavur in Tamil Nadu.
The accident happened today i.e. Monday morning at around 06.15 am. According to the information, the bus went out of control at a turn and fell into a 30 feet deep ditch. After the accident, a rescue operation was conducted at the spot.
Three people, including a woman, were killed and several others injured when a government bus fell into a valley near Pullupara in the hill district on Monday morning, police said. The bus carrying 34 passengers was returning to Mavelikara in Alappuzha district after traveling from Thanjavur in Tamil Nadu when the accident occurred around 6 am. The bodies of the deceased have been sent to a private hospital in Mundakayam and will be handed over to their families after postmortem. Police, fire brigade and rescue service personnel were immediately deployed for rescue operations.
