Berlin, 19 February. Defending champion Bayern Munich suffered a 3-2 defeat to Bochum in the Bundesliga on Sunday, the club's second consecutive defeat in the league.
The host team Bayern Munich made a great start and in the 14th minute of the match, Jamal Musiala scored a goal to put his team ahead 1-0.
Bochum equalized 1-1 with Takuma Asano's excellent goal in the 38th minute of the match. Things went from bad to worse for Bayern before the break, as Kevin Schlotterbach scored from a corner in the 44th minute to put Bochum ahead 2–1.
Bayern suffered a huge blow in the 77th minute when Dayot Upamecano was sent off the field after being shown his second yellow card. In the very next minute, Kevin Stöger converted the penalty to increase Bochum's lead to 3–1.
In the 87th minute of the match, Harry Kane raised some hopes by scoring the second goal for Bayern. However, after this Bayern's team failed to score the equalizing goal and ultimately lost the match 3-2.
With the defeat, Bayern is now eight points behind leaders Bayer Leverkusen, who beat Heidenheim 2-1 on Saturday, while Bochum moved up to 11th.
