According to the police, the body of Santokh Singh was found between Gandhi Bridge and Dadhiji Bridge of Sabarmati River. 84 year old Santokh Singh had come to Ahmedabad from Uttarakhand to meet Jaspreet. Santokh Singh stayed at the house of his daughter and Jaspreet's wife Ravinder Kaur in Ahmedabad. According to Ravinder Kaur, Jaspreet's mother did not allow her son to meet his grandfather. He did not allow anyone to meet him. There was reportedly a rift between Santokh Singh and Jaspreet Singh's mother, due to which she could not meet Jaspreet.
