In an information, Secretary in-charge of Agricultural Produce Market Committee, Bhagirath Ahirwar told Hindusthan Samachar that till now about 2 lakh 92 thousand quintals of maize has arrived. He believes that due to increase in the area of maize production in the region, there is bumper arrival of maize in the market this time. He said that in view of the bumper arrival of maize here, maize is being exported to other states of the country through railway rakes.
Inthol and liquor are exported to other states
Rajesh Jain, a grain merchant businessman of the city, says that maize is being exported by businessmen through railway rakes to different states of the country like West Bengal, Orissa, Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana etc. through various companies.
One information said that in other states, maize is used in poultry farming, making inthol and making liquor etc. After exporting maize, maize is supplied to factories like inthol and liquor etc. by the companies.
