Bareilly, 22 July (HS). A young man who was injured in stone pelting on Hindu houses after a dispute during Muharram procession on 19 July died during treatment in the hospital on Monday. Now the police is identifying those stone pelters and demolishing their illegal property. In this connection, the administration's bulldozer has been run on the house of a rioter.
Superintendent of Police (South) Manush Parik said that on July 19, after a dispute in the Muharram procession, stone pelting and fighting took place the next day. In this, young man Tejpal was seriously injured. He was undergoing treatment in the medical college. He died on Monday. A complaint has already been filed by the victim's family in this case. The police have registered a case against 50 named and 10-15 unknown people on behalf of the deceased's father, former village head Hiralal, and are arresting them. Two rioters have been arrested in an encounter. A total of 35 rioters have been arrested so far. NSA action will also be taken against the rioters. The illegal property of the rioters will be identified and confiscated or demolished.
