Bulldozer action in UP: Bulldozer action was taken today in UP's Bahraich district. Villagers have illegally occupied the land and road in Saraijagana. Some have built permanent huts and some have made mud huts. More than 129 people are building their houses. The villagers said that everyone has been building houses for 50 years but now the revenue officials have issued a notice to occupy the land. The notice was received in the year 2023 itself. Even after this, the occupation was not removed from the land. The court ordered to remove the occupation from the land. The system says that this action is being taken after the order of the High Court.
Locals and affected people say that the system and the government are bulldozing not 23 but 119 houses. People say that the entire population lives here. Many Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Prime Minister's residence) are also built here.
