Building collapses due to oxygen cylinder explosion in Bulandshahr, five buried under debris, many dead, many injured

Cylinder Blast: A building collapsed due to the explosion of an oxygen gas cylinder at around 8.30 pm on Monday night in Ashapuri Colony located on Gulavathi Road in Bulandshahr, Uttar Pradesh. Five people, including two women and a child from the same family, died in the accident, while about ten people were injured.

The injured have been admitted to private and government hospitals. Police-administrative officials reached the spot and somehow pulled out the people buried under the debris. The rescue work continued till late night.

Cylinder cracked while installing
According to the police, Raju alias Riyazuddin, a resident of Ashapuri in Kotwali area of ​​Secunderabad, was doing the work of shuttering the linter. His wife Rukhsar (55) was unwell and was admitted to the hospital. She was discharged from the hospital on Monday itself and reached home. When Rukhsar had trouble breathing, an oxygen cylinder was brought home. The explosion occurred while installing the oxygen cylinder. The lamp of the house broke when the cylinder exploded with a loud noise.

Raju alias Riazuddin has five sons, four of whom are married. Raju alias Riyazuddin, his wife Rukhsar, five sons Shahrukh, Asmohammed, Sona, Salman were buried under the debris. Along with this, her daughter Tamanna who had come to meet her mother was also sad. Ten children were also buried under the debris.

As soon as information about the death of five people was received, police and administration officials reached the spot and admitted the injured to private and government hospitals. Five people died and other injured are undergoing treatment Doctors declared 60-year-old Raju alias Riyazuddin, his 55-year-old wife Rukhsaar, 11-year-old son Salman, 24-year-old daughter Tamanna and Tamanna's three-year-old daughter Hifza dead at the hospital. The treatment of the injured is continuing.

District Magistrate Chandra Prakash Singh said that this accident occurred due to cylinder explosion between 8.30 and 9 am at Riyazuddin's house in Ashapuri area of ​​Secunderabad. The whole house has collapsed. Rescue operation is going on.

Police, medical, fire brigade and municipal corporation officers and employees are engaged. Eight people have been evacuated from here and sent to the hospital. The situation is very serious. 18 to 19 people lived in this family. 10 people have been evacuated safely. So far two deaths have been confirmed.
