BSP chief Mayawati gave a clear message after the recent action on Akash Anand that her party is above any family bond. In a press conference held in Lucknow, he said that all his relatives are only a member of Bahujan Samaj, not members of the private family. After removing her nephew Akash Anand from all the party positions two weeks ago, Mayawati insisted that “my brother, sister or relatives are only part of Bahujan society, nothing else”. He further clarified that only the people working in the party and the movement will be given forwardness.

Strict attack on conspiracy to weaken BSP

Mayawati appealed to the partymen and warned that conspiracies are being hatched to weaken the BSP. He said that some political parties and organizations, whether in power or in the opposition, are forming small groups against the BSP. He also presented the example of Baba Saheb Ambedkar and later Kanshi Ram, saying, “I will never let anyone be successful.” He promised his party and expressed the need for the support of the entire Bahujan society.

Real social change for Dalits

Mayawati also told that the Dalits and the downtrodden sections are now sitting on a chair with respect as compared to before. He reminded that when the BSP government came to power with an absolute majority, the Dalits could not make their place in front of the upper class. But this scenario has changed since 2007. According to him, this social change has been possible due to the BSP government formed under my leadership and it will be recorded in history.

He also said that since coming to power in 2007, many parties against Dalits have been continuously trying to weaken and end the BSP. Mayawati emphasized that only the real power of Bahujan society can bring real change in the society and for this she needs the support of the entire Bahujan society.
