BSF officer who went to meet lawyer in Ramgarh was beaten up by relatives | News India

Ramgarh, 25 August (HS). A BSF officer was beaten up by his relatives in a family dispute near Ramgarh Civil Court. In this case, BSF sub-inspector Shambhu Nath Rai has lodged an FIR in Ramgarh police station. He was beaten up on 23 August but he reached Ramgarh police station 24 hours after the incident. Police has lodged an FIR in this case.

According to Shambhu Nath Rai, he had gone to meet a lawyer near the civil court to get information about a case going on against his brother Ramesh Rai. His nephew Vivek Kumar Rai was also with him. During this time, the family members of his elder brother Ramesh Rai's daughter-in-law surrounded them. Kanhaiya Kumar, Sunil Kumar Yadav, Raju Kumar Yadav along with 8-10 other people were there. They surrounded them and started beating them.

Vivek Kumar Rai was dragged into a Scorpio car and beaten badly. During this, about Rs 13,500 from their pockets was also taken away. Shambhu Nath Rai immediately called the police, due to which both of them were saved. In this case, the police have started investigating the accused. Shambhu Nath Rai said that all the accused are residents of Rampur Jayantipur of Dariyapur police station area under Chhapra district of Bihar state.
