Bangladesh Government Crisis: Protests have been going on in neighboring country Bangladesh for more than a month. After the situation worsened, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina resigned from her post on Monday (5 August 2024). In view of the law and order situation in Bangladesh, the BSF has issued a high alert on the India-Bangladesh border. A senior BSF official said that the BSF DG has also reached Kolkata.

Let us tell you that Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina left the capital Dhaka with her sister for a safe place after resigning amid violent protests. This happened when protesters demanded Hasina's resignation during the reservation protest, in which about 300 people were killed.

According to the Times of India report, amid all this, Sheikh Hasina's son has appealed to Bangladesh's security forces to prevent any unelected government from coming to power. According to media reports, thousands of protesters stormed the Prime Minister's residence.
