Tarn Taran : BSF jawans have arrested a Pakistani intruder who crossed the border and entered Indian territory late at night in Tarn Taran district. Meanwhile, he also got shot in his leg. Due to which he has been admitted to a hospital in Amritsar for treatment.
BSF spokesperson said that last night BSF jawans posted on the border near Naushihra Dhala village of Tarn Taran district noticed suspicious activity near the international border that Pakistani intruders were crossing the international border and entering Indian territory. The jawans immediately challenged the intruder to stop but he suddenly started running towards the barbed wire. Due to which, restraint was exercised in view of the potential danger and the high alert situation on the border. The jawans fired at the intruder to disable him, during which a bullet hit his left leg and he fell near the border security fence.
The injured intruder was caught immediately. He informed that the BSF jawans took the injured Pakistani intruder to a hospital in Amritsar, where his condition is now stable. The Pakistani intruder will be questioned by the BSF and other agencies so that the reasons for his coming across the border can be ascertained. He said that due to the ongoing election process in the world's largest democracy, there is a high alert on the border and as a result of the vigilance and timely action of the BSF personnel, the attempt of a Pakistani intruder was foiled.
