New Delhi, August 21 (HS). Special Judge Kaveri Baveja of Delhi's Rouse Avenue Court has extended the judicial custody of BRS leader K. Kavitha in the CBI case related to Delhi Excise Scam till August 28. Today, Kavitha's judicial custody in the CBI case was ending, after which she was produced through video conferencing.
On August 9, the court sent K. Kavitha to judicial custody till date. The CBI filed a chargesheet against Kejriwal in this case on July 29. The Rouse Avenue Court took cognizance of the chargesheet filed by the CBI against K. Kavitha on July 22. Kavitha was arrested by the CBI in this case on April 11. The CBI filed a chargesheet against K. Kavitha on June 7. The court took cognizance of the chargesheet filed by the ED against K. Kavitha on May 29.
So far 18 people have been arrested in this case, including Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, former Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia, Aam Aadmi Party MP Sanjay Singh and BRS leader K. Kavitha. Manish Sisodia and Sanjay Singh have got regular bail from the Supreme Court.
