While accepting the award, Harvey shared an idea that came to him while writing the book. While writing the book, Harvey thought, who would want to hear the story of a woman sitting at a table in Wiltshire and writing about space? Whereas, many astronauts have gone there. Harvey dedicated this award to all those speaking up for the Earth.

This book of only 136 pages has become the second smallest book to win this prestigious award. Additionally, all the events involved occur within a 24-hour period. The judging panel included British Indian musician Nitin Sawhney, novelist Sarah Collins, Justin Jordan, fiction editor of The Guardian newspaper, and Chinese American writer Yiyun Lin.
