London: Britain has declared Asma Assad, the British wife of ousted Syrian President Bashar al-Assad, as a banned person. British Foreign Minister David Lammy made it clear in the House of Commons that he would not be allowed to enter Britain.

Asma Assad was born in 1975 in Britain. He also studied in Britain. Now after the fall of Assad he is in Moscow with Assad.

The rebel group captured Damascus on Sunday. With this, a radical change took place in Syria. However, it is a different matter that there is no political stability yet.

In response to a question in Britain’s General Assembly on Monday evening, Foreign Minister Lammy said, I have come to know that Asma-Assad have been trying to come to Britain for some time. But I want to assure Honorable Members that they have been declared prohibited nationals and will not be allowed to enter the UK.

It is noteworthy that Asma-Asad have been declared banned persons.

He further told the MPs that we are monitoring the situation in Syria hour by hour. We are also in touch with the countries. Talks are going on with them and efforts are being made to find a peaceful solution to the events in Syria. We have never condoned violence or terrorism.

Earlier speaking on BBC Radio 4, McFady, MP for the Duchy of Lancaster, told the House that there had been no contact or request from Asma Assad or her representative for permission to return to Britain.

It is well known that there was a civil war going on in Syria, the reason for which is said to be the brutal rule of Assad. It is also learned that Assad and his family have taken refuge in Russia as a result of this civil war.
