Thanks to the brilliant performance of Arjun Deshwal and Shubham, defending champion Jaipur Pink Panthers defeated Gujarat Giants 45-36 in the 128th match of the 10th season of Pro Kabaddi League (PKL) played at Tau Devi Lal Indoor Stadium here on Monday. For Jaipur, Arjun Deshwal scored 13 points and Shubham Shelk scored eight points, while for Gujarat, Partik Dahiya scored 14 points.
Jaipur Pink Panthers finished the league stage with their 16th win in 22 matches. The team now has 92 points and is still at number one. Gujarat Giants finished the league stage with ninth loss and 13 wins in 22 matches.
Reigning champions Jaipur Pink Panthers made a great start to the match and took a 9-1 lead by all-out Gujarat Giants in the third minute itself. Gujarat achieved its first touch point in the fifth minute and after that it slowly started making a comeback. But still the Pink Panthers had a lead of 13-7 till the 10th minute.
