Brilliant batting by Himachal, 300 runs for one wicket till the end of the first day's play.

In the first match of Elite Group B of Ranji Trophy which started on Thursday at International Cricket Stadium Dharamshala, host Himachal has scored 300 runs for just one wicket on the basis of excellent batting. From Himachal, both the opener batsmen have given a strong start to their team by scoring centuries.

Till the end of the first day's play, opener Prashant Chopra batted brilliantly for Himachal and is unbeaten on 122 runs. The other opener Shubham Arora also scored a century and he became the victim of Uttarakhand bowler Swapnil Singh on the score of 118 runs. After his dismissal, Ankit Kalsi, who came to bat, also scored runs quickly. Kalsi is unbeaten on 57 runs.

Talking about Prashant Chopra, he hit 13 fours in his unbeaten score of 122. Whereas Shubham hit 17 fours and one six during 118 runs.

Earlier this morning, Uttarakhand won the toss and decided to bowl first. His decision did not prove to be correct and Himachal, understanding the conditions of their home ground better, scored 300 runs for just one wicket. On the other hand, eight bowlers were used for Uttarakhand but Swapnil Singh got the only wicket.

Himachal will play three matches in its home ground Dharamshala

Himachal team will play three matches of Group B of Ranji Trophy at its home ground Dharamshala. The first match will be played with Uttarakhand from 11 to 14 October. After this, the second match will be against Rajasthan from 18 to 21 October. Both these matches will be played at their home ground Dharamshala. Himachal team will face Andhra Pradesh in Vizag from 26 to 29 October. From 6 to 9 November, Himachal and Vidarbha will play matches against each other in Nagpur. From 13 to 16 November, Himachal team will once again play a match with Pondicherry at its home ground Dharamshala. From January 23 to 26, Himachal will clash with Hyderabad in Hyderabad. In its last league match, Himachal will play against Gujarat in Gujarat from 30 January to 2 February.
