Bridge collapses due to heavy rain in China, 11 killed

At least 11 people died after a bridge collapsed due to rain in Shangluo, located in Shanxi province of northern China, on Friday, July 19. According to the information, the bridge collapsed at around 8.40 pm due to torrential rain and floods. However, this has created an atmosphere of fear in the surrounding area. Police and rescue team took action on the spot like this.

Rescue teams are present at the spot

According to the information, there was a lot of traffic on the bridge when it collapsed, due to which the people travelling on it got stuck in the water along with their vehicles as soon as the bridge collapsed. Due to which people died. On the morning of 20th July, the rescue team pulled out 5 vehicles that had fallen into the river and is carrying out rescue operations.

Torrential rain wreaked havoc

Heavy rains have occurred in large areas of northern and central China since July 16. Due to which these areas have suffered a lot of damage. The scenes shown on Chinese TV show that some part of the bridge is submerged in water. Apart from this incident, heavy rains have also caused damage in China. At least eight people have died due to the collapse of a bridge in Baoji city of Shaanxi, China and floods and landslides have occurred due to rain. So much damage has been caused. Due to this, at least five people have died and eight people are missing.
