Heavy rains continue in Bihar. After the entry of monsoon, news of a bridge collapse has come to light in Bihar. Till a few days ago, this matter was making headlines in Bihar politics. The matter of bridge collapse had not yet cooled down that another bridge has collapsed in Samastipur. The span of an under-construction bridge in Samastipur suddenly collapsed. This incident created an atmosphere of fear in the entire area. People present there started running away. The incident took place near Nandani Lagunia railway station.

The work of Bakhtiyarpur-Tajpur Ganga Mahasetu was going on near Nandani railway station of Samastipur. The span was being laid between the two pillars late on Sunday evening. Then suddenly the span fell down. After this accident, there was panic among the people present there. However, there is no news of any casualty in this accident.

Attempts to erase the traces failed

After the bridge collapsed, a JCB was called on the spot. The JCB buried the debris of the bridge in the soil overnight. Obviously, the administration was trying to hide this news. But this attempt failed. According to the local people, this step has been taken to hide the negligence of the administration. However, questions are being raised on Nitish Kumar's dream project regarding this shortcoming.

Nitish Kumar's dream project

Let us tell you that the work of Bakhtiyarpur-Tajpur Ganga Mahasetu has been going on for many years. The foundation of this bridge was laid in 2011. The work of this bridge, which was to be built at a cost of 1603 crores, was to be completed in 2016 itself. But despite spending more than 1000 crores, only 60 percent of the work of the bridge has been completed. Bakhtiyarpur-Tajpur Ganga Mahasetu is counted among the dream projects of Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar. However, the bridge collapsed even before it was built.
