Brazil rejects Xi Jinping's BRI project, calls it 'no insurance policy'

New Delhi/Brasilia: Brazil has not accepted Beijing's Belt Road Initiative (BRI). Along with this, two out of five countries in the group of Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa did not consider China's project acceptable.

The important thing is that even though Sri Lanka, burdened with huge debt to China, had to give its Humber-Tota port to China on a 99-year lease, Sri Lanka has not yet joined China's fraudulent Belt Road Initiative.

In fact, Celso Amoris, international affairs advisor to Brazilian President Lula de Tisba, had refused to join the Chinese project.

On the other hand, Pakistan is the backbone of China. Starting from Sian, passing through Hotan, Kashgar and Yarkand, through Central Asia and the south to China Pakistan in the north, the Economic Corridor (CPEC) passes through Pakistan-occupied Kashmir. To which India has expressed strong opposition. Although China is notorious for teasing its neighbours.

The main reason behind Brazil's decision not to join China's BRI is mistrust of China. It's like spreading the legs. He knows Brazil well. Second, Brazil has close ties with the Biden administration and the US is also indispensable to its economy. The US cannot afford to upset Brazil if it joins the BRI. That is why they have refused to join BRI.

Earlier, Brazilian President's Chief of Staff Rui Corta had gone to Beijing last week. There was discussion on BRE but they were not impressed by it. He also asked the President not to accept BRI.

In short, China's situation has started changing due to one country after another going out of its influence.
