Brazil flood: 39 people died due to heavy rains and landslides in Brazil, rescue operations in full swing

Rio Grande do Sul, a large state in the south of Brazil, has been hit by heavy rains and widespread landslides. The government has also admitted that this rain is the most destructive rain ever. More than 600 personnel deployed in rescue work

12 aircraft, 45 vehicles and 12 boats along with 626 soldiers have been deployed to assist in rescue and relief operations. The focus has been on clearing roads, distributing essential supplies such as food, water and mattresses, and setting up shelters for displaced persons. Meanwhile, the water level of the state's main river Guaiba is expected to reach dangerous levels. If this happens, floods may occur and the situation may become more dire. The Meteorological Department has also expressed concern. Many communities have lost contact due to rain.
