Mathura, 08 March (Hindus). On the occasion of Mahashivratri, when Shri Krishna came out of the main gate of the birthplace with the wonderful form of Lord Shiva sitting on Nandi, the people of Braj started dancing with ghosts, dancing and singing vampires, Dakinis and Shakinis. This sight was making Kanha's birthplace Shiva-like. Shiv Barat again reached Shri Krishna's birthplace via Deggate, Mandi Ramdas, Chowk Bazaar, Swamighat, Chhatta Bazaar, Holi Gate, Bharatpur Gate and Daresi Marg.
On the occasion of Mahashivratri festival, on Friday afternoon, a unique and grand procession of Bhole Baba was taken out by Shri Krishna Janmasthan Seva Sansthan in the city with attractive tableaux. In the Shiv procession, along with the tribal and Bahelia dance and the melodious sound of the band, Lord Bhaironath was the first to grace the procession by sitting on the chariot. Goddess Chandi Devi, ensconced in the tribal and forest dweller form of dance and Chachariya dance, delighted the devotees.
Darshan of Bahubali Veer Hanuman and the tableau of Ram Darbar were also the center of attraction. Lord Brahma and Lord Vishnu were present amidst the bell-gongs and Majeera dance which came from Nashik, Shiva was present in the procession, completing the procession of the Trinity. Children and youth were walking with the procession full of devotion and dancing in sync with the rhythm of Shivganas. Shiva procession was welcomed by devotees at various places in the city by showering flowers. Crowds of people gathered on the streets to see the dancing and singing processions. The deities came out in the procession sitting on the chariots. Arrangements were also made for musical instruments along with big sound boxes. People were getting excited watching this unique procession of Bhole from the rooftops and windows of the houses. Before starting the procession of Lord Shiva at the Janmabhoomi, Aughadani Aarti of Lord Shiva was performed by Shri Krishna Janmabhoomi Secretary Kapil Sharma and member Gopeshwarnath Chaturvedi.
Mainly present in Shiv Baraat were Janmabhoomi Secretary Kapil Sharma, Managing Committee member Gopeshwarnath Chaturvedi, Chief Executive Rajesh Pandey, Deputy Chief Executive Anurag Pathak, Girraj Sharan, Vijay Bahadur Singh, Narayan Rai, Bhagwan Swaroop Verma, Omprakash Prasad, members of Shri Krishna Sankirtan Mandal. The presence of Anil Bhai Dresswale, Rajiv Gupta and Kanhaiya Lal etc. was notable.
