The much awaited news has come out for lakhs of candidates who are dreaming of becoming government teachers in Bihar. Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) has announced the fourth phase of the much talked about teacher recruitment examination i.e. BPSC TRE 4.0 The new revised schedule has been officially released. As per the schedule announced by the Commission, the online application process for this recruitment will be 25 September 2026 Is going to start from. By revising the earlier issued advertisement number 14/2026, now the dates of application and fee payment have been fixed afresh. Total under the state education department 32,388 teacher posts Appointment will be made on, which includes posts from primary to higher secondary schools.
Under the BPSC TRE 4.0 recruitment drive, teachers will be reinstated at all four levels in government schools of the state. This time maximum vacancies have been released in 11th and 12th i.e. Higher Secondary cadre. Category wise details of posts are as follows:

Primary Teacher (Class 1 to 5): 3,847 posts

Middle School Teacher (Class 6 to 8): 8,563 posts

Secondary Teacher (Class 9 to 10): 3,877 posts

Higher Secondary Teacher (Class 11 to 12): 16,101 posts
Since there are more than 16 thousand posts in higher secondary schools, this is being considered a big opportunity for the candidates who have passed postgraduate and B.Ed.
As per the official notification issued by the Commission, it will be mandatory for the candidates to submit the form and fee within the prescribed time limit:

For BPSC TRE 4.0 the Commission has decided to conduct the written examination in a single stage. The examination will be taken in Multiple Choice Objective (MCQ) format:

A total of 150 multiple choice questions of 150 marks will be asked.

Candidates will get 2 hours 30 minutes to solve the exam.

The examination will include questions related to Language (Qualifying), General Studies and related subject (Subject Paper).

There will be a provision of negative marking for wrong answers as per the guidelines of the Commission.

Selection will be made purely on the basis of marks obtained in the written examination and after merit list and document verification; There will be no interview in this.
