Boycott of work returned after FIR registered in lathi charge on advocates

Lucknow: President of Central Bar Association in Lucknow, Arvind Kumar said that the decision to boycott work was taken after the brutal lathicharge on our advocate colleagues. Then the police of Vibhutikhand police station registered an FIR against its sub-inspector and constables. Due to which the decision to boycott work has been withdrawn. All the lawyers returned to their judicial work.

Arvind Kumar said that written letters are also being issued to the advocates to return to work. An FIR has been lodged by the Bar President on the complaint of seven advocate colleagues including Advocate Abhishek, Advocate Mukul. On whom on February 23, the policemen had closed the restaurant and bar and lathi-charged in the Summit Building.

He said that the advocate colleagues were seriously injured in this lathi charge. After getting injured, he got himself treated in the hospital. After this, Vibhutikhand went to the police station to lodge an FIR, in which the police station waved. Later, FIR was written under pressure from the lawyers. Our demand is that action must be taken against the policemen guilty of lathi charge.
