Ahmedabad: The Crime Branch team is investigating 3 crimes in the case of death of two people due to unnecessary angiography and angioplasty at Khyati Hospital in Ahmedabad. As the investigation of this case is progressing, the accused involved in this crime are being revealed one after the other. Dr. Prashant, the only accused in this case, was arrested and given remand for 4 days. During the search of the house of Kartik Patel, the director of Khyati Hospital, which has gone underground, liquor bottles were found.
In fact, the accused involved in this crime have closed their houses and gone underground. Therefore, the Crime Branch team investigating this case today reached Karthik Patel’s bungalow on Sindhubhan Road for investigation. From where two bottles of liquor kept in the bag of Vimal Pan Masala were found. During the search of the house of Chirag Rajput, another accused in the same case, about 40 bottles of liquor were found in the cupboard. Therefore, now action has been taken under the Prohibition Act.
In the investigation so far, the Crime Branch team has recovered the original files and electronic data of the patients who attended the medical camp organized by Khyati Hospital in Borisana, Kadi on November 10, and the villagers who underwent angiography and angioplasty.
Apart from this, Khyati Hospital has also organized similar health camps in 13 other villages and evidence has been found that angiography of villagers has been done under PMJAY.
At present, different teams are working in search of the absconding accused in this case. Proceedings are underway to arrest Khyati Hospital CEO Rahul Jain and Marketing Manager Milind Patel. A lookout notice has been issued against the accused who are absconding to avoid arrest. At present the bank accounts of all the accused have been frozen. Besides, details of their movable and immovable properties are also being collected.
