New Delhi: Aamir Sarfaraz Tamba, who murdered Indian citizen Sarabjit Singh, who was serving death sentence in Pakistan, was shot dead by unknown gunmen.

Sarfaraz was shot dead by motorcycle-borne assailants in Islampura area of ​​Lahore. He was taken to the hospital in critical condition, where he died. Aamir Sarfaraz was considered close to Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) founder Hafiz Saeed. He was infamous as the 'real Don of Lahore'.

Police are investigating the incident. According to the FIR, Aamir Sarfaraz's brother Junaid Sarfaraz has shared some information. Giving information about the incident, he said that he and his elder brother were present in the house at the time of the incident.

Junaid told that he was on the ground floor, while Aamir Sarfaraz was on the upper floor. At 12.40 pm on Sunday, two unknown persons reached his house on a motorcycle.

One person was wearing a helmet. While the other had a mask on his face. After this a person fired three bullets at Aamir Sarfaraz. After this both the accused fled from the spot. Tamba died during treatment in the hospital. Junaid Sarfaraz told that his brother had no enmity with anyone.

Sarabjit accused of being a spy

Let us tell you that Sarabjit Singh had crossed the India-Pakistan border and gone to Pakistan on the evening of 30 August 1990. Later he was arrested by Pakistan Police in connection with the bomb blasts in Islamabad.

Pakistan Police had claimed that Sarabjit Singh, a resident of Bhikhiwind village of Tarn Taran, was a spy of Indian agencies, who was killed in jail by Amir Sarfaraz in 2013 on the instructions of intelligence agency ISI.
