The Australian Cricket Board has announced a massive increase in ticket sales for the upcoming Border-Gavaskar Trophy Test matches to be played between India and Australia.
There has been a record six-fold increase in the number of tickets purchased by Indian supporters compared to last season. There is a lot of excitement about the traditional Boxing Day Test on December 26. Indian fans are paying 10 times more for tickets than in 2018-19. Joel Morrison, Director of Events and Operations at the Australian Board, said that it is a pleasure to see a large number of Indian supporters planning to travel to Australia for the Border-Gavaskar Trophy. We are committed to providing a memorable tour of Australia for all patrons and we are confident that the next tournament will be remembered for many years to come. The Australian Board will also create Indian Fan Zones at all venues during the tournament. This specially designed zone aims to create a vibrant and welcoming environment for Indian fans. Supporters traveling from India are demanding premium experience packages for the Boxing-Day Test.
The Border-Gavaskar Trophy will begin with the first Test in Perth from November 22 to 26. The second Test will be a day-nighter at the Adelaide Oval from December 6.
