Top-ranked India's Rohan Bopanna and his Australian partner Matthew Ebden reached the quarterfinals of the men's doubles event at the Dubai Duty Free Tennis Tournament. Both defeated Aisam-ul-Haq Qureshi of Pakistan and Sikandar Mansouri of Tunisia in straight sets. Rohan and Ebden, who won the Australian Open men's doubles Grand Slam in January, won 7-6, 7-6 in a match that lasted one hour and 41 minutes. India's Yuki Bhambri and Netherlands' Robin Haase defeated Alexander Bublik of Kazakhstan and Adrian Mannarino of France 6-7, 6-3, 10-8 to reach the last eight. India's top-ranked singles player Sumit Nagal's campaign came to an end when he lost 4-6, 7-5, 1-6 to Italian veteran Lorenzo Sonego in the last-32 match.
