Howrah, May 20 (HS). During the fifth round of voting for the Lok Sabha elections on Monday, criminals attacked a residential complex in Belur in Howrah district, during which there was news of a large-scale bomb attack.
It is alleged that on Monday, 10 to 12 miscreants attacked the Vrindavan residential complex in Belur during voting. Residents of the complex were pressured not to vote. Apart from this, extensive bombing was also done. After receiving information about the incident, a large number of police forces and central forces reached the spot and handled the situation.
According to the information received, all the attackers came on bikes. They allegedly ignored the security guard of the residence and closed the main gate of the residence. An atmosphere of tension was created regarding the incident. But the reason why this attack was carried out was not clear till the time of writing the news. Police have started investigating the incident.
