The mobile phone and SIM card used in the crime have been recovered from Mustafa. During the investigation, the police collected call detail records of this mobile number. From which the message was sent. A team was formed to solve the matter. On the basis of technical information, they arrested the accused from Bandra.

Earlier on Monday, Mumbai Police had arrested a person from Noita, Uttar Pradesh. Who had allegedly threatened to kill Salman Khan and NCP leader Zeeshan Siddiqui. Zeeshan's father Baba Siddiqui was shot dead by three gunmen in Bandra (East) on October 12.
