Bollywood actress returned to India after 25 years, will participate in Prayagraj Mahakumbh

Mahakumbh 2025: Actress Mamta Kulkarni, famous for her mesmerizing performance in the 90s, has returned to India after 25 years. Mamta Kulkarni announced her comeback on social media, sparking speculation about a possible return to films.

In an interview given to News18, Mamta Kulkarni made it clear that she has no intention of returning to acting. Reflecting on her past stardom, she says, it was a different era.

Mamta Kulkarni’s film journey and legal battle – Mamta Kulkarni was once called the second gem of Bollywood for her adventurous roles and collaborations with top actors.

Despite facing allegations of promoting obscenity, she became a symbol of success in the industry. Her name was associated with drug mafia Vicky Goswami, due to which she disappeared from the screen in 2002.

She came to the fore again in the year 2014, when rumors of her marriage with Goswami surfaced, which she denied through a video.

Recently, the Bombay High Court had acquitted Mamata of her involvement in a drug case worth Rs 2,000 crore. This legal victory paved the way for his return to India.

When asked about her sudden disappearance years ago, Mamata explained that she had set out on a spiritual journey similar to Lord Buddha’s search for truth. He expressed satisfaction over his devotional and spiritual activities.

Spiritual activities and future plans – Mamta Kulkarni shared that she no longer seeks worldly pleasures and focuses on her spiritual path.

Mamta Kulkarni mentioned attending the Mahakumbh Mela in Prayagraj on January 13, 2025 as part of her visit.

Excited about participating in this remarkable event, he said, “I had seen the Kumbh Mela 12 years ago.

Lakhs of devotees are expected to come to the Maha Kumbh Mela. During this event, free eye examination of five lakh people will be done and spectacles will be given to three lakh people. Indian Railways has planned to run thousands of trains for the convenience of the attendees.
