Bokaro administration inspected various places in the city after the rain stopped

Bokaro, 3 August (HS). On the instructions of Deputy Commissioner Vijaya Jadhav, after the continuous rain for the last two days stopped on Saturday, Deputy Development Commissioner (DDC) Girija Shankar Prasad, Additional Collector (AC) Md. Mumtaz Ansari, Sub-Divisional Officer Chas (SDO) Om Prakash Gupta inspected various places in the city. Necessary instructions were given to the concerned officers and workers engaged in relief work.

DDC, AC and SDO inspected the areas of Dundi Baag, Sector 12-Sector 09 of Bokaro Steel City. Instructed the officials of BSL TA Department to ensure drainage system in waterlogged areas and to shift the people living in dilapidated quarters due to heavy rains and to speed up the repair work of quarter buildings going on in the city area. DDC, AC and SDO also inspected various wards of the Municipal Corporation area. Took information from the Municipal administration regarding water drainage and cleaning of drains in the waterlogged areas since morning. Instructed to drain out water by installing additional motors in the waterlogged wards and to spray bleaching powder in the area.

The officials took stock of Sadar Hospital Bokaro. They enquired from the Civil Surgeon and the Deputy Superintendent of the hospital about the cleanliness of the hospital premises and the preparations for the treatment and medicines for the diseases caused by excessive rain and waterlogging. The Civil Surgeon was directed to ensure the arrangement of a team of doctors and some extra beds. They were also directed to ensure arrangements in this regard in the Community Health Centre and Primary Health Centres.
