Jamshedpur, August 22 (HS). The bodies of both the pilots of the plane that went missing about 20 minutes after takeoff from Jamshedpur's Sonari Airport on August 20 have been recovered from Chandil Dam. The NDRF team recovered the body of trainee pilot Shubhrojit Dutta from Chandil Dam at 10 am on Thursday. After this, the Indian Navy and NDRF team continued the operation in search of the main pilot Jeet Shatru Anand. The team recovered the body of the pilot from Chandil Dam near Kalyanpur village. After recovering both the bodies, it has become clear that the plane had crashed after falling into the dam.

This plane of Alchemist Aviation Company was being flown by Patna resident Captain Jeet Shatru Anand, while trainee pilot Shubhrodeep Dutta, a resident of Jamshedpur, was with him. The plane took off on August 20 at around 11 am and lost contact with air traffic control about 20 minutes later. The two-seater plane that crashed into the dam is manufactured in America and is named 'Cessna 152'. It is a single engine aircraft. This plane was being operated by the Pilot Training Institute in Jamshedpur since 2008. Its director is Mrinal Paul. In March 2022 also, a training plane of this institute crashed at Sonari Airport. Two pilots were injured in this accident.
